Session: "AI Driven Transformation in Finance: Enhancing Efficiency and Innovation"

Join us for an exciting presentation on the topic of Artificial Intelligence. 

This presentation will explore the transformative role of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the financial sector showcasing how AI technologies can be leveraged to enhance operational efficiency, risk management, and customer service. Attendees will gain insights into practical AI applications, emerging trends, and strategic approaches for integrating AI into financial workflows. The discussion will cover a forward-looking perspective on how AI is shaping the future of finance.

Speaker: Dr. Geanie Asante, VP Software Engineering Manager, Wells Fargo Bank

Dr. Geanie Asante is an Executive Director at Wells Fargo, where she leads Agile Transformation for the Consumer Technology team. With an illustrious career that bridges the realms of technology and leadership, Geanie holds a Ph.D. in Organizational Leadership in Information Systems & Technology, as well as bachelor's and master's degrees in computer science. Her acumen in Artificial Intelligence, coupled with her expertise in organizational leadership, social media, and internet technologies, positions her as a vanguard in her field, dedicated to driving innovation, excellence, and transformation within the banking sector and beyond.

Residing in Mansfield, Texas, Geanie is a recognized thought leader in AI, fervently committed to demystifying its complexities. She aims to shape the future through insightful white papers and engaging social media discourse, empowering others to ethically harness AI's potential. Her leadership transcends the technical, fostering growth, efficiency, and strong team dynamics, underscored by her commitment to community service and educational outreach.

Geanie has significantly contributed to non-profit organizations, including the Oakland Black and African American Chamber of Commerce and the Bay Area Kindness Pandemic initiative during the pandemic, earning her the Bay Area IT Woman of the Year and the company’s prestigious Diversity Champion Award.

A passionate advocate for nurturing the next generation of leaders, Geanie also serves as an adjunct professor for Emerging Technologies. Her vision encompasses not just the cultivation of technology and ideas, akin to her green-thumbed enthusiasm for plants, but also the fostering of an inclusive, knowledgeable community poised to lead in the evolving AI landscape.

CANCELLATION AND REFUND POLICIES

Sessions generally will be cancelled only for inclement weather. If the U.S. Government closes due to severe weather, the session will be cancelled. Every effort will be made to notify registered participants of the cancellation by email. In the event of advance payments, participants may request funds be applied to the next upcoming meeting provided 48 hours of notification are given.

Complaints should be directed to the Education Committee at education@gwafp.org; if resolution cannot be achieved at this level, the complaint will be reviewed by the Executive Committee.
