11:45  Topic One: You’re Going Global, Key Considerations,”

This session will provide finance professionals a practical approach to implementing a successful international treasury operation. From handling foreign currency payments and receipts to managing larger transaction volumes, you will walk away with practical advice you need to know.  This session will give you the insight on what to expect when your company expands internationally from a cash management perspective.  After this session, you will be equipped with questions to ask, internal resources needed to be involved, pitfalls and checklists for a successful global project.

 

Speaker:.Amanda Schreiner, Vice President and International Treasury Specialist, JP Morgan Chase Bank

Amanda Schreiner is a Vice President and International Treasury Specialist at J.P. Morgan Chase in NYC. Amanda’s primary responsibilities include consulting with US-based multinational companies on cash management structures that add efficiencies and optimization to their global banking and liquidity structures. Amanda works closely with CFOs and Treasurers, providing best practices and information on current global trends, with the objective of helping her clients maximize their global cash management. Amanda has worked at J.P. Morgan Chase for over 10 years and prior to this role, held positions in Commercial Banking and Credit Underwriting.

 

Amanda graduated from Villanova University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. She is a Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) and a Certified International Cash Manager (CertICM).

 

12:50  Topic Two: Debt Structure: Selecting the Right One,”

This session will discuss the overview of debt instruments available and how to select the right debt structure for your organization.

 

Speaker:   Mark D. Brown, Managing Director, JP Morgan

Mr. Brown joined JPMorgan’s Corporate Finance Advisory practice in 1993 and has worked in a variety of client and product roles New York, Sydney, Australia and the Washington, DC area.  From 1996 through 1999 he was an Associate in Syndicated and Leverage finance in New York where he marketed and executed high yield and investment grade financings for a number of the firm’s leading clients.  In 2000, Mr. Brown relocated to Sydney Australia to start the Firm’s new client coverage group for Financial Sponsors in the Australia and the ASPAC region.

 

In 2002 he returned to New York and was a senior member of the Corporate Finance Advisory group where he advised corporate clients on credit ratings, capital structure and other key corporate finance topics. His broad experience covers numerous industries including energy, natural resources, utilities, industrial, consumer, retail, healthcare, technology and others.

 

In 2011 Mr. Brown recently relocated to the Washington, DC area to lead the development on JPMorgan’s Corporate Client Banking practice in the mid Atlantic region.  His primary responsibility is to expand JPMorgan’s client relationships in the region and serve as the lead local relationship banker for the firm. His existing and prospective clients are large privately held companies and mid cap public companies.  He is responsible for marketing and executing a broad suite of JPMorgan financial services including commercial lending, capital markets issuance, advisory, treasury services, FX and derivatives and others.

  

Mr. Brown holds a B.A. in History and Economics from Centre College, a M.A. in International Affairs from the School of International Service at The American University and a M.B.A. from Columbia Business School at Columbia University.  He is a registered FINRA representative and holds Series 7, Series 63 and Series 24. He resides in Great Falls, VA with his wife and three children.

CANCELLATION AND REFUND POLICIES

Sessions generally will be cancelled only for inclement weather. If the U.S. Government closes due to severe weather, the session will be cancelled.  Every effort will be made to notify registered participants of the cancellation by email. In the event of advance payments, participants may request that the registration fee be applied to the next upcoming meeting, assuming notification is provided within 48 hours of the scheduled event.

Complaints should be directed to the Education Committee at education@gwafp.org; if resolution cannot be achieved at this level, the complaint will be reviewed by the Executive Committee.
