Program Information

12:30a.m. - 1:00 p.m.  Buffet Lunch, Welcome and Introductory Remarks

1:00 - 1:50p.m.  Topic: "Same Day ACH, It is Here, You need to Prepare"

Same Day ACH Rules have been approved for implementation in the fall of 2016.  Every financial institution must prepare to receive ACH entries that will be settled on the same day as receipt. These new Rules present opportunities and challenges for all participants in the ACH Network. Don’t miss this opportunity to hear how your organization can benefit or will be impacted by the most significant change to the ACH Network in 40 years!

Speaker: Kimberly W. Rector, AAP, Senior Director of Education, MACHA

Kimberly is the Senior Director of Education for the Mid-Atlantic Payments Association (MACHA).  She is responsible for providing assistance, education and training regarding the ACH Network and payment systems to MACHA’s members.  Kimberly has 30 years experience in the financial services industry at both commercial banks as well as credit unions, with a concentration in ACH operations and services.

In addition to her day-to-day responsibilities as Senior Director of Education, Kimberly has represented MACHA and its members on several NACHA sponsored Rules Work Groups, responsible for the on-going maintenance and development of new ACH Rules. She was a member of NACHA’s ACH Quality Task Force, the AAP Blue Ribbon Panel, and the Member Rules Review Panel and is currently a member of NACHA’s Government Relations Advisory Group.   Kimberly is a Permanent Accredited ACH Professional (AAP).

2:00 - 2:50p.m.  Topic: "FX Markets and Risk Management"

China recently stunned the global markets by devaluing the Chinese Yuan to a more flexible exchange rate regime.  At the same time, uncertainty around the Fed liftoff has risen, commodities prices have dropped and global growth remains weak.  What lies ahead, and how can clients exposed to international market risks quantify and manage their risk.  Please join us for a discussion on recent volatility in the markets, thoughts on the road ahead and strategies for managing risk.

Speaker: Scott Enstrom, Director, Rates & Currencies Origination, Bank of America Merrill Lynch

Scott Enstrom is a Director in the Global Rates & Currencies Origination group at Bank of America Merrill Lynch.   Based in Charlotte, Scott is responsible for Foreign Exchange advisory and trade  execution services for the bank’s commercial clients located in the mid-Atlantic region.
